While reading Livio's THE GOLDEN RATIO, I was most attracted to his discussion of the five Platonic solids. They are described as the tetrahedron, which has four triangular faces, the cube, with six square faces, the octahedron, with eight triangular faces, the dodecahedron, with twelve pentagonal faces, and the icosahedron, with twenty triangular faces.
