Sahasrara, a Sanskrit word is translated into English means "thousand-petalled". Located at the crown of the head, known as the crown chakra, it is considered the seventh primary chakra. It is described as a 1,000 petaled white lotus flower. The petals are arranged in 20 layers, each with approximately 50 petals. It marks the top end of the sushumna central channel, and is responsible for different levels of concentration, including dharana, dhyana and (savikalpa) samadhi.
