Chakrasana, which is Sanskrit for "wheel pose", is the inspiration for Chakrasana Series works. In yoga asana practice, to realize chakrasana, a back-bend or back roll is executed. Chakrasana or Urdhva Dhanurasana in Ashtanga Yoga, which Dominique practiced from 1996-2016, is said to strengthen your physical and mental well being. Chakrasana also aligns the body's seven main chakras or energy centers. They are Muladhara (the Root Chakra), located at the base of the spine, Svadhisthana (the Sacral Chakra), Manipura (the Navel Chakra), Anahata (the Heart Chakra), Vishuddha (the Throat Chakra), Ajna (the Third-Eye Chakra) and Sahasrara (the Crown Chakra).
