On Oct 12, I traveled with my husband to Stevenson University Greenspring Gallery for the third month in a row. This time we deinstalled my PhD thesis exhibition, "Skin Deep- On Abstract Painting and The Nature of Beauty," which hung from August 28-October 12, 2023.
The road trip between New York and Baltimore is more than 5 hours each way, so I really appreciated my musician/composer husband, Baird Hersey. He did the vast majority of the driving, made a video, took the pic I used in this blog, and host of other. He is overwhelmingly supportive of me and my creative life.
I also really appreciate the gallery director, Lori Rubeling, and her three gallery assistants, Emma, Malia, and Griffen, who made the installation, and deinstallation a breeze.
Note: I feel regret that I did not hire art movers. Sorry to Baird and me, as art transport of an entire exhibition is physically and psychically extremely rigorous/demanding.
