Several times during the conversation I was struck by Lynn Book's presentation style being somewhat Meredith Monk-like. I enjoyed this about her, as well as how much and how freely she laughed. It occurred to me that she may have studied hasna or hasya yoga, (laughing yoga.)
MAKING WRITING: EXPERIMENTS FOR VOICE AND LANGUAGE WITH LYNN BOOK
During the MAKING WRITING: EXPERIMENTS FOR VOICE AND LANGUAGE WITH LYNN BOOK workshop, there was a great emphasis on breathing practices, and on sound making, both of which were wonderful. Disappointingly though, at least during the first few hours of the workshop, we did not do any actual writing, which was the stated plan/expectation.
