On Friday, April 28, from 10-11:15 AM, Borinquen and I met and discussed my most recently revised April Confirmation of Registration Detailed Reports, which I re-submitted this week.

With the many recent revisions, the framework for my written thesis is more focused, and the next revision already exists, so if, or as my CoR reports are approved, I am ready to move to the next phase of the project.

Regarding this and my current studio work in particular, we discussed and looked at the underpainting on a large scale linen mural I started this Spring, which seems too thin. I will order stretched, gessoed linens and work on smaller scale paintings. Also, exchange the other linen roll for heavier weight 43U linen that I prefer painting on.

Mostly we discussed the written thesis taking the direction of a book vs. several separate analytical essays. We agreed that ultimately the writing will likely take be in book form with essays that are woven together with analytical threads from my work, analysis of artist interviews, using various intersection theoretical approaches.

Agreed action points (to be completed after the meeting)

~Borinquen will reach out to other supervisors to discuss re-submitted CoR documents.

~After painting on it again, I'll decide if the large "skin tone" mural will remain as a single un-stretched linen, or if the current 16 foot piece will be cut into four or five smaller, individually stretched paintings, to show as a polyptych.

~I will write and submit these meeting notes.
