During February I worked with Pantone SkinTone color swatches and tube color "portrait" acrylics and started a 4 x 16 foot mural on un-stretched, gessoed linen. I used a small paint roller to apply the acrylics. The mural is still in the beginning stages, but if it resolves quickly and is effective, I may make two. If one or both go well, I will install them as part of my August-October Stevenson University Greenspring Gallery exhibition. The idea for the mural is to be like a large-scale skin toned color swatch, which viewers will hold their hands or arms up to, or stand in front of for a selfie or an us-ie, maybe in front of the one/s closest to their own skin tones.
