In an October Instagram post, @transart_institute #news, featured my four images from my current solo exhibition, "Skin Deep: On Abstract Painting & The Nature of Beauty," along with this text:
"Until October 12th, the thoughtful and complex abstract paintings of Gina Dominique are up in a solo show: "Skin Deep: On Abstract Painting & the Nature of Beauty" at Greenspring Art Gallery.

Gina Dominique is a PhD candidate and Associate Professor of Art at City University of New York's Lehman College. In her show she invites you into a world where art and philosophy collide. Her work, deeply rooted in the philosophy of art, feminist aesthetics, and autotheory, provides a rich and challenging exploration of abstract and post-minimalist painting.

Note: During mid September, a few hours prior to my show opening, Washington DC photographer Chan Chao documented the 18 exhibition paintings, and took several installation pics. Then, during the last two weeks of the month, Chan and I worked on color corrected images. Those images, resized, are what I will use in my written thesis.
